We kept track of our own laps using PBox. Now watch this - shows how a moderate hp car can go much faster than me with good grip, handling and talent. On the power way more of the time, carrying higher gears. Might be time for some new R888s.....and some ball growth hormone. Jordan, http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... 7/2009.WIN I think if you goto the bottom it shows the 'combined' where it only shows the best laptime. The others are just the sessions so you can see what you did each session. I reckon you were going great mate. It was a top effort driving around in the Y with street tyres. I think you set the slowest time in the driver training, BUT all the other cars were WRX's skylines and 200sx's etc. With some stiffer springs, some semis I reckon you'd cane them...

Nice job on the vid's doug and mal  There making me want to head back in october and have another go Going off dave's times I know my car "should" be capable of a mid to low 1:40 as we both seem to have simular power,brake and suspesion setup's just gota get some more track time and learn how to drive again

good vids doug, always interesting to see. Did you manage to capture the last supersprint? also brad and nik, did you guys have any outside vids? Stu you'll find you will probably get quicker as your confidence grows in your car. A passenger lap in someone elses car is what made me realise how far you can push things - it was in dave's car at winton last year actually! |

Or you might take a drive in Brad's car when he hasn't got the sway bar connected and locking front right wheels I've got vids, but haven't got the bandwidth (or a youtube account) to upload them! |

Yeah your right leigh I know my confidence will grow once I get some more track time and stop my rears from locking up Stu you'll find you will probably get quicker as your confidence grows in your car. A passenger lap in someone elses car is what made me realise how far you can push things - it was in dave's car at winton last year actually! Now that the bug has bitten again just gota get out there more when is haunted hills? And do you know if there's another one at sandown buy the end of the year keen to go back there

My last session before Supersprint, best lap 1:43.1. Includes a decent lose which was a bit hairy (about 5:50 mark in the video), especially after the smash last time out at PI - I saw $$$ before my eyes as I span across the ripple strip. Luckily no damage. If you don't crash, you're not trying hard enough! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY1COzH-Ojw Supersprint - me in 1600 with 13B BP (203 rwhp) vs Leigh LAG 510 SR20DET (260 rwhp). Guess who wins.........Leigh with 1:40.8, me with 1:43.1. At PI or Sandown, Leigh would smash me - watch the way he pulls away on the straights. Horsepower not as critical at Winton. My old banger does alright with 240K discs/calipers and 240Z drums and pretty basic suspension and sh*t tyres. Looking forward to the rematch on new R888s......although I'd still lose! was keen to see that footage as you were all over me on the back tight section. I was trying to come in wider and power out of the corners better but it looks like the tighter lines were serving you well. I'm trying to resist the urge to power up and actually look at handling tweaks and some driving instruction. PI could be the go, are you heading up saturday or sunday? |

I seemed to take different lines every lap - 30 odd laps was not enough to figure Winton out. Need to study the vids and try again some day. Phillip Island - Saturday for me, more track time. Done lots of laps there now - turn 1 and Southern Loop still tricky though. |
