I see. Similar but not identical to early 160/180Bs.

I have one of the early 180B bumper reflectors around. I will take a picture.

The rear of that GT looks awesome, just like yours car set up.

Bloody cool !

well back on the 180b today i clear coated the polished rocker cover i got
and then pulled a early 610 sss dash apart and resprayed the cream black and tried to polish all the scratches out the clear plastics with 70 % improvement. i even chucked in new globes i think im getting a little to fussy.

Thanks to a awsome friend of mine "shane" who has prob the best sss 610 ever i have got some good chromes and sss choke cable.

I got myself a RHD round SSS gauge cluster. My 610 is LHD, so I am working on making a LHD cluster with the round cluster parts.

One plan calls for spliting the sections and repositioning them , so that the 3 small round gauges sit on the righrt side of the large round openings.

Relocating and fixing the parts together, perhaps cover the whole cluster ( after the "surgery") in thin black leather , and then kinstalliong the instruments.

The other option would be to make a new cluster in fiberglass, taking as template the SSS cluster, but in reverse.

Dang!!! you guys with RHD Dattos got it all too easy! There are no SSS LHD Dattos that I know about.

Only problem would be getting guards that go with it and then they wouldnt fit a sedan anyway :x

Yeah the guards are the hard bit, modding adm guards would be an option I guess, hardest bit would be replicate the vents.

I don't think sedan or coupe guards are different, just not sure if the front chassis of a 2000GT is different or not to a standard 610.

The 2000GT is a longer version of the Datsun 180B/610.

Like the US market Datsun 810 and the Oz market 200B. The 810 was a longer nosed car that fit a 6 cyl motor.

The 2000GT is a longer nosed car that fits a 6 cyl motor.

The front corner of the guards are different, in order to match the grille in the 2000GT. But other than that, it is the same as the sedan , wagon and hardtop 610.

The top of the guard with its mounting bolts is the same in both cars. The rear section ( one against the doors ) is also the same.

The longer section / nose that accomodates the longer 6 cyl motor comes at the expense of the area between the door and the wheel opening in the guard.

That section between the rear most part of the wheel opening/arch in the guard and the end of the guard area upon the door is what has been made longer in the 2000GT.

To fit a 2000GT guard on a 180B, all you got to do is measure and cut off a section off the 2000GT guard at this area ( between wheel arch and door ) to fit the 180B lenght. Cut and make it shorter, as in the 180B.

Another posibility could be to cut the front of the guard from the tip to the wheel arch and swap it on to the 180B guard.

With the 2000GT guards, the 180B will also need the 2000GT apron to gon in between the guards and under the grille.

Hi.

Anybody that can help me out with the factory rubber seals/weather stripping as seen in the 5th photo in this nice red 180B photo set up?

My 610 is a hardtop, coupe, like this one, and since the 180B was assembled in Oz, perhaps dealers down under have these seals.

The coupe/hardtop has different seals ( diff than the sedan and wagon.) Once I purchased some stuff from Scott's Rubber.... but it is not the right stuff. By far it is not the right stuff.

Nissan Oz still carries those seals???

Cheers.

BTW, great example of a nice "B"
