Thats odd, my temp sensor from a 77 gl sedan works fine with the sss gauge :S have you got the oil pressure working? if so what sender did you use for that?

The rear end looks awesome!! must close to being finished!

Sounds great.

So gauge cluster is already in place?

What about rest of connections. Speedo cable is same?. Rest of indicators work fine?

:cheers

I had to change all pinouts test each and cut join to another multi connector. my cable is a bit worn but works with the speedo fine.

Hey Doug, great pics of the resto, looks like your travelling well. Are those weld on panels you have or did you fab them yourself? Also i have the same mig as yours.... i tried to zoom in to check out your settings however not got a good view of it. can you let me know what wire speed and settings/wire your running. looks like your running the small argon/co2 bottle as well. any info would be great as i am currently in the market for a resto 180bsss myself and am sure i will need to do some weld on's myself.

I made all the pieces myself and my father a few pieces aswell the welder is a dial not a numberd one plus you will need lots of welding and panelskills to weld like i did especialy the roof i used sh panel for the roof and but welded edge to edge all the way along. hhow advanced are your welding skills because test pieces and how it sounds is a start

My plan was to use the seat thing from a golf cart. I have built up a few dragstar bikes and found these most usefull when making the long seat supports for the rear and to make a cushion for it aswell. Similar metal to what you are talking about.
