For those playing at home yes they do fit (just), but not with an SR. Anyone want a 24mm swaybar to suit L-series 1600?

I boltd a R31 swaybar into me R30.. about 4 mm greater diameter

made INSTANT change, quite liked it too, the front wont roll as much as it used too, but in really hot situations the rear still heaves over and takes the front with it... so not good in the wet!

Id say anyone thinking of it should give it a try.

The sway bar on my 1600 originally came off a 180B.

Just to bring this back to life...and to get this straight! A S13 front Swaybar will fit into a 510/610 perfectly?

not perfectly into a 510, but close enough to work. The bushes at the front that mount the swaybar to the body end up cloer to the bend in the swaybar than would be ideal, but by cutting a bit out of them they fit. Might have to replace them more often, but its not like they cost a million bucks...

Got any pics? I suposse that the 510 and 610 sway bars are the same so i'll have trouble on both of them! I guess bushes and brackets are not so big of a problem to replace or build...i am gonna give this a shot.

The S13 sway bar is 24mm...and from what i have been reading...it seems to be a good size for our datsuns...

yep new brackets would improve it, I reckon even moving the hole in the original brackets would be enough. Sorry I dont have any pics, I tried to fit one to my 1600 and found it didnt clear the sr20 sump so I gave it to a mate who has it fitted to his L20b 1600.
