Well the year is racing by so I'm hunting around for my next sprint event. Who's planning to do what - Leigh, Brad, Mark, Stu, Nik, anyone else?? Looking for some company - always more fun when there are other Dattos around.

This is what I found so far. Bold I will probably do. Any others that you know of?

13/9/09 Alfa Club (AROCA) - Sandown sprint
13/09/09 MSCA Winton sprint
27/9/09 Tampered Motorsport Winton
10/10/09 WRX Club WInton
11/10/09 MSCA Winton sprint
18/10/09 Maserati Club Sandown (now that might be interesting.....but potentially expensive!)
22/11/09 MSCA Calder sprint
14/11/09 PIARC Circuit Familiarisation - Phillip Island

I have a feeling the Calder round of SAU/wrx calendar is on thin ice.

Had a feeling a Calder track event was too good to be true, have only heard private testing down there recently.
What info do you have Mr Pantsdown?

EDIT!
Just looked at SAU, damn Calder is shithouse.

i definatly want to do a track day soon, got to put some good brakes in the 1600.
Do most of your track days over here require a cams level 2 speed licence?
Mine is expired and i dont really want to join a car club for one or two meets

CAMS L2S is the norm although some events allow AASA licence. Assume cost is similar either way.

Winton open/fun day in december... 25bux, but not a flat out day. There are a few per year, no licence required.

AASA covers DECA, Vicdrift Days and Winton days, Winton also seems to run the cheapest grip days, so if that is all you will be doing, so $50 per year, could be a good option.
L2S is $95 per year plus the ~$70 per year for the club membership to go with it.

Hi thought I'd introduce my self :D I'm new to the forum. I have entered my Stanza for its first track event at AROCA, the 20th at PI at a HSV - FPV Sprint & PIARC. I had the Stanza built ground up a few years ago and havent really done anything with it so I cant wait to see how it goes. I normally drive an MX5. Hope to say hi at Sandown and give you that Datto company amongst 5's and Alpha's :bringit:

gstanza, you need to post up some info in Members Rides.

As it turns out, I won't get to AROCA Sandown on Sunday - didn't realise it was Father's Day. With 2 young kids plus a dad and a dad in law, I can't get a leave pass for the day.

Definitely plan to get to PIARC 14/11/09 and hopefully Winton or Sandown between now and then.

Keep in touch, would be good to see some new Datto action on track!
