What sort of alloy are you proposing? Brass? Chromoly? some sort or Aluminium alloy?

Ok the radius rods are settled. we will be making the V2s.

Front hubs, we have discussed this with our engineer & CNC guy.
He has a 9 axis machine, not many of these around.

Concensus of opinion was to go with 4140 chromo as they will be much stronger.
Tho more difficult to machine than alloy.
Also the weight would not be that much different as the 4140 hubs can be way thinner
than the alloy hubs or cast hubs. Fretting with alloy hubs can also be a problem.

Engineer also has doubts regarding some road traffic authorities acceptance of after market alloy hubs
without some extensive testing & engineering reports.

Same problem for alloy dropped steering arms.

Rack & pinion steering has been on the board for some time.
Now the dollar is much better we are persuing this again.

The rack we have chosen is very special. very light & steering ratios can be changed
from about 1.5 turns to 5 turns.

Thanks for the comments guys & keep them comming.

BTW Our custom ball joints & rods ends have arrived in Adelaide.
Just waiting for customs to do their job.
Hope to have them next week.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease make the R&P to a price that makes it's not just megabuck showcar or must have race mod appealing. I'm low to middle budget street car and I would love R&P in my car. Please don't price me out!

While I'm on a tight budget myself, remember that baz owns a business and needs to make a profit himself. I'm sure his pricing will be fair though.

I never said sell at a loss. What I did say was don't engineer them to the eyeballs so as only people with bottomless pockets can afford them. Try to make them to a price and quality that would put them in reach of people who don't have $30k to drop on their toy car.

Steering rack kit will include a new crossmember at least.
The only way it can be done correctly.
The crossmember will be all new construction.
ie fully fabricated.

This new crossmember for the steering rack , will it fit all engines (my guess is you have all this under control , but will ask anyway ) .

Will this one take over from the modified 200b crossmember in your handling kit . Will the bolts to mount the lower control arms on be moved in or out , moved in to use longer stock arms off another car or moved out to get camber with stock 1600 arms or use your new adjustable lower arms ? .

I just want to run a L series motor that will sit back and maybe down a few extra cm's , front end with some camber maybe with just stock arms off another car for road use like in the handling kit and be able to still run old 240k or 200b struts so i dont have to change my rims .

My best guess is that this will drive the price up considerably.

*sigh* Time for me to get a real job...

On a more serious note, is this just for 1600's? Or are you considering 180B's and 200B's as well?
I guess it all depends on demand, but I figure it's worth asking anyway.

200B kit will continue for quite a while yet. has been upgraded with new transmount.
Reversed X member kit under development right now.
Steering rack kit to be resurected.

It makes sense for use to utilise as many components we make ( or newbits)
on all our kits.

Adjustments to allow for different struts & wheel offsets seriously being looked at.
some parts will fit std 200B & whilst we are planning the R&P kit for 16s & 180Bs
with some alterations may be suitable for 200B Stanza etc.

we have to get our wiring kits into full production first.
Except for the reversed Xmember kit. which will be 100% legal in all states.

S13/14 hubs are a problem due to the position of the integral steering knuckle.
It is way too high for a 1600.

I'll put in a order now for the new steering rack and be the test dummy if you like!

Can't wait. :hail: :hail:

Why make 5 stud hubs when there is stock nissan gear already available that works?
Alloy steering arms, what does that acheive exactly?
Not having a bash, just wondering...
