Haha and he's bang on the money!

Major overhaul has started
Will post up some pics when I can and I'm sorry if they are too big.

Drove the car up to a mates on Saturday and the car didn't make it home.
Was just going to pull the old 200b struts out and replace with the datsport 280mm units.
This was done, then we got a little carried away
the head was pulled off

Mods to come include
Install new head
Upgrade fuel system to suit e85, 2200cc injectors, bosh 044 pump, new lines etc
Rb25 gearbox to go in, tunnel will have to be modified, new tail shaft
New ecu to go in ems em70

What sort of mods to the head are you going to make?

Head has been built and is ready to go on,
Head specs are
Hks adjustable cam gears
Hks 264 cams inlet and exhaust
Super tech valves
Super tech valve springs and retainers
Arp head studs
Head has been ported to suit new valves etc.
Cometic head gasket to go on

I have pics but they are on my phone and are too big to upload, I can send them to some one if they want to help me upload

Back to the car

Old head has been taken off
All new hoses around the block to go back on
New water pump, new fan belt, to go on.

Started on the fuel system too, pulled all the old pumps out, pulled the tank out,
After pulling the tank out I now know why the car is so smelly
Breather is farked
Dummy fitted new fuel rail, fuel reg, flex fuel sensor.

Heaps more to do, but we've made a good start

Small update

Motor is back together, and it starts, it runs very rough though !
The old Haltech E6k doesn't like the big injectors that I've put in, just pumps too much fuel in and fouls the plugs.
In about a week, it's off to get the new ecu installed, and then a tune after that.

If anyone is after the E6k , it will be for sale, with the loom, (unsure if with or without sensors ) waiting on my mechanic. And coils igniter and leads to suit.

Over all pretty happy, should have it going in a month or so hopefully, all things going well.

Cheers Tim

Put that battery in the boot man... More room for activities!

I Like the battery in the front, no Voltage drop. Had the same battery for 9 years, only just starting to wear out, so I think it's time for a new one.

Looking forward to seeing it's potential once tuned!
Watch this space!
Battery in the bay is good for simplicity. It'll look cleaner in the boot and with the correct cable, it won't affect the voltage much.
