Yep 610 arms are slightly bent up. Will give a little toe out on bump on a standard 1600.
Ill wait for the batteries to charge in my camera and then take some photos of 510, 610, 710 and 280zx arms

100% the 1600 knuckles are different to 180B.
as mentioned above the 180B knuckles will increase bump steer.

The early ball joints are unavailable i think.
Best to get some late steering arms
some new tie rods and ends can be sourced from baz

do i need to change the tie rods and ends if i get later model steering knuckles? i had the same issue when i did my inner control arm bushes the early have a differant bush, i could only find some at SWR.

so is there any steering arms that will work? or is late 510 the only way?

Yep, I stand corrected. Part numbers are different, and just looked at both types in the shed and they appear a bit different.

Yes you will have to get new tie rods and ends if you go for the later steering arms. The earlier gear uses 12mm tie rods and the later uses 14mm.

I had the same problem as you a few months ago when rebuilding my suspension.

I used 200b steering arms on my 1600, they are bent down a large amount. They ended up creating a lot of initial bump toe in. I will be going back to standard (late) 1600 arms and then using a rose joint instead of an outer tie rod end so i can space the arm down to get no bump steer.

here is a pic of what thehelix112 did on his 280z that i will be doing

Jase, new Datsport lower ball joints, new complete tie rod assys. $140
2 late 1600 steering arms $25 each.
So $190 and you are done.
