im helping a mate do a suspension upgrade on his sunny, we are going to use 200b struts with the ground control coilover kit, now most ppl shorten there struts to suit a z31 insert and get more travel, lower etc. well our problem is the 200b strut is already about 50+mm shorter than the sunny strut so theres no need to shorten them,

but we still want the benifit of running the shorter z31 insert plus theres alot more options with this insert, so what i was thinking is cut some 34mm(width of the insert) solid steel tubeing to make up the differance(think z31 are about 40-50mm shorter than 200b) place the solid bits of steel in the 200b struts first then fit the z31 inserts makeing it the same in length as the old 200b insert

can anyone see anything wrong with this?

cheers

Yep you can space them up no worries.

But as you have coilovers you might as well cut the 200b struts down to suit the z31 inserts. You will be better off in the long run

cheers for the reply lampy,
we thought about it but dont want it to end up to low, atleast doing it this way first we can see if he likes the adjustment there, and if needed shorten them, but if we just go ahead and shorten them first we cant really go back if its to low if you know what i mean
