If you buy one from Phils, expect to do a fair bit of prep work before you can paint it. This will cost a fair bit if you can't do it yourself.

I bought one (SWB) last year for $1800 but he has reduced them to $1600 & have been on special for $1440 lately. Guess he's finding them hard to shift at that price.

Prep work as in the tooling is sh*t, or they don't line up too well?

I wish I could have found what you just bought when I was in the market for one a while ago. Awesome score

The tooling isn't the best but it's mainly where they spotweld the outer skin to the inner frame....they are pretty wavy down the sides & can't be pushed out. I know the original metal wasn't very thick but I think these are made from thinner stuff as well.

Still not to bad if you can't get a good original I suppose...
