mine sat a bit higher than the standards but i think the standard seats are to low, im just under 6ft and i had plenty of room, for memory we used square tubeing on a few corners to make it sit level and longer bolts but that was about it

I've fitted Cobra Trophy fixed back seats, used some square hollow sections to fix them onto the original rails, they sit a bout 1" or 2" lower than the original ones and can go 40mm lower if I replace the hollow sections with some flat plates.

*edit* They also sit real niceley to the pillar and aren't as wide as first thought, they set me back around $450 from the top of my head, purchased off a fellow OzDat member. IMO perfect fit

Velo GPT (XXL) on sparco rails.

Very bloody wide, so much so I had to shave off a few mm of foam of the shoulder wings. There's now about 4-5mm between the seat's wings in the middle, and maybe 1-2mm between the wings and their respective b-pillars.

File comment: You can see how close they sit to the b-pillars

Sparco Pro 2000's
Used 180B seat rails and PRM steel side mounts.
Bolt the 180B rails in, bolt the steel side mounts onto the seets, drill a few holes in the PRM mounts and PRESTO. Sparco's fitted beautifully and aligned to the centreline of the steering wheel (ie your not sitting off to one side). They are extremely comfortable on long drives (4 hours!), and support is ace. Plus you can run 4 point harnesses through them.
Seating height is adjustable, so you can sit nice and low, or nice and high. I chose nice and low....

Price was $1200 for the two second hand (but with about 15 thousand kays on them!)

Sparco sprint's. Running sparco alloy racing brackets sitting on standard 1600 rails and mounts. ADR approved. Approx $1000 to buy and fit both seats (new). Very comfy and hug the body well. I must say though if you are a bit on the chubby side it would be a tight fit.
