hey buddy, great sunny you've got going there! VL commo and rav4(MUCH shorter) rear springs drop pretty much strait in! and combined with suzuki vitara shocks, will give you a decent to massive drop in ride height can't buy anything off the shelf to lower the front, so hack a coil or 2 off if you don't mind a harsh ride, tho i found the upside was a complete lack of "boat" like body roll, so it it's not all bad... good luck with it all! :D

well with some suitably stretched tyres you should still be able to go pretty low, nothing too silly, but still pretty low...

yeah i know, thinking i will run down the ones on there for a while then get some stretched/lowprofile tyres on there, and whitewall, and then yeah, should look nice.
engine mods are next, not sure whether to upgrade engine completely to a sr20/ca18, or L20, or even just stick with A12 and get some mods for it like extractors and webber.
what you got planned/done to yours lunchbox.

you'll find a huge improvement from dropping in an a15, raising the comp by shaving the head, and a decent cam in there and an exhaust/carby upgrade, either su's or a dgv 32/36... much easier and cheaper than a full conversion but not as much power obviously, but for a daily, it's what i'd be doing! lol mine's a little more silly than others... here's a link to mine
http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... 50#p141450
but basically atm, plans are custom front and rear end suspension, BIG tubs rear floorpan airbags etc... n/a bridgeport 20b, custom interior big stereo pretty much a full show car build while still retaining a real oldschool datsun charm...

sounds the goods ;) yeha as its only a daily drive for uni and work im not too fussed on spending tonnes, but ive only had it for a month or so, so im just tidying it up and making it look half decent. btw, lunchbox, your car is so F##king low! why!? ahha :P looks cool though, the 3 inch whitewalls look pretty P.I.M.P.

now i need a bit of advise from anyone can help. i got some 15x6 wheels, aint hitting the guard, but slightly hitting the strut at higher speeds.
im thinking spacers but wheels will slightly stick out of guards which im thinking will make it hit the guard (cant really win) so it either comes down to rolling the guard or getting a thinner strut if there is such a thing :s
now guys, whats the idea, is there anyway i can 'thin the strut aka *cough *angle grind/sanding *cough* or is this possibley the worst idea ever haha
it seems to only hit at higher speeds like 40/50km, (pretty high for a sunny :P) thinking strut cut may be best as most things that rhyme are usually the best bet.

ahr they are not bad cars man! mines completely stock at the moment, but will hopefully be something out of the ordinary in the future,
next step is to take the black side rubbers off, and spray that up as i think it looks sh*t, and tacky.
the wheels arnt too bad! they make the paint look a lot nicer too! have been looking for seats since i got it but no such luck, so at this stage im just gonna get some seat covers lolz
but yeah! look forward to seeing the build thread of yours mate

you'll notice a HUGE difference with the side rubbers gone... looks so much better, just cleaner and the body lines really pop without that dreary black rubber line down the flanks!

hey guys, so it has been a little while since last updated, not a GREAT deal has happened, got some old school escort seat covers for the sunny, a granny rug for the back parcel shelf (bowlers hat is on the cards ;D), took off the black body strips off the side and grease and wax removed and touched up paint where needed. still running well, did a few fluid and changes and shiz, usual stuff.
here are some updated pics:

just out of interest, does anyone know how much these are going for these days,
mines got a good sound system, and 111,000kms, just as a matter of interest.

as for future, i was considering doing engine mods, but im considering just keeping it A12 with a few mods, nothing too ridiculous, as I'm a uni student and really cant be fed lol

im not sure i i wanna go back to stockes with old hubbies and whitewalls, or keep mags with eventually getting stretched tyres and white walls. let me know what you think guys!

Luke.

stockies all the way... the attention mine got for the whites and stockies was astounding, and man you sound as bad as me... my daily is a coroa wagon!! haha good taste indeed man! as for prices these things fetch, i got no idea, i was offered $2,500 cash and a ride home for mine at a servo just before i took it off the road... obviously didn't sell it... but i thought that wasn't a bad price, paid like $400 for it (i think?) lol but i've done a sh*t load of work on her...
