I'm sure I've seen pics of late model 1600 dashes with 5" gauges mounted in the standard facia, but I cant find those pics now. If anyone has some can they please post them here Also, if you have them in your car, how did you mount them? Do they face downwards? cheers |

is it a custom fascia with gauges or gauges in the standard fascia? I'm looking to put them in the standard holes for speedo and tacho. |

Glue It is an a epoxy type glue I mix it together I then put it on the dash then stuck the gauge in, then the glue expands and fills all the gaps.I have had all the gauges in for 2 years or more and they haven't moved. But once they are in there they will not ever come out. I will have a look and let you know what the glue is call as I got it off a mate who is a roofer |

Todd have to say great setup and interested the hand controls you have there too. Was there much work in getting the fitted to a 1600? |

I wasn't real happy with how mine sat so I made a plate to go over the standard facia to hold the gauges. Still needs a bit of dremel work and some green covers glued over the indicators... |

Luke The set up is easy to put on a Datsun it just bolts around the steering collum then bolts to the tops off the brake and accelerator pedals .so all peddles are there so anyone can still drive the car It takes about 1hr to install the hand controls. With the paddle shifter it is a C4 auto that has been manualised and bought the set up from the USA.It adapts to any auto gear box. |

I have an 5" Autometer phantom tacho in my 1600 To fit it i used a standard non tacho cluster, took the part out with batt and oil lights so it can sit back nice and deep. Then I used a series of metal straps from the back of the plastic facia to the small nuts on the back of the tacho Now i just put the cluster in, feed my new plug end through the hole, bring the facia up close plug it in and screw it home Came up pretty good, the angle can be corrected by how you make the straps and space the holes If i can get some pics ill show you Simon |
