Gday has anyone got any good info regarding lowering a 240K coupe and rim/tyre combinations to prevent scrubbing thereafter? Cheers,

Marty :) :)

Depends on how low you want to go and if you're willing to flare the guards.

If you want to go really low and not flare the guards, wheels are going to be an issue. Look forward to +35 offset and stupidly thin tyres.

Thanks for your reply, don't want to lower it to the point of compromising the tyre/rim width, but want to lower the centre of gravity for handling reasons. Flaring the guards is an option but what about the inner walls?

i was lookin at mine, and on the rear the inner wall is very f-ing close  ... I dont think i could fit much wider than a 7" without flaring the rear (which is not an option for me)

You may be able to massage the inner guard with a rubber mallet and have it not show on the outside. I'm looking at doing this on my 200B to fit wider wheels so it may work on the 240K. It also depends on what offset wheels you wish to run. There are means and methods around these issues, rolling the lip of the guard is a good idea too, it gives you an extra 10mm or so of space.
