Argh! went to fit the sparco steering wheel today to the 1600 and the boss kit is the wrong one, bloody ebay
The hole in the boss is too small and doesn't even reach the splines. Anyone know where i can get one that definitely will fit?

I had this problem on the Lotus once, and in the end resorted to this method of repair. Other than the steering wheel being a 45 degree angle to the steering column, it worked well.

I bought it that long ago I'm not sure of the purchase details now :-/
I spose I could order one from the local repco or bursons. I guess what I'm after is if anyone knows which other cars have a common fit with the 510. I've been searching on the net and come up with nothing.

Must have been having an off night last night. This morning I've found the autotecnica boss listing and i would say mine is for a datsun 1000, 1200, 120y. The 1600 boss kit has the same part number as the 180b, 200b, 240z etc..
So does anyone need a cheep boss kit for their 1200 ute? lol

Think I payed $60 for it. Solid aluminum type. Make an offer if you want it, I was about to put it on ebay

Normally, yes, but the steering wheel aside, the Lotus was a great car.
