I needed a 3 blot, they sent me a 4 bolt. They then sent me a 3 bolt and I haven't yet sent back the 4 bolt. It's in my glovebox.

yawn been over this before, the DS 1600 brace fits a 180B with a little bit of bending and a hammer taken to the inner guard.

thats the thing tho shouldn't have to.

I'd rather machine up a spacer to make up the gap or make one from scratch, but the easiest thing is just buying one form MadDat, tho i hate it when such errors where you get the wrong part happens but what can you do???

I bet you won't find a thread on here, apart from this one, that actually tells someone where they can get one from tho.

Sure "get a 1600 one and bash it with a hammer" may have been said before, but there aren't likely to be too many threads about 180b bolt on braces as Maddat only started making them a couple of months ago.

How about contributing something worthwhile or shutting the **** up?

Does the steering box brace make as much of a difference on the 180B?

Can anyone who has one provide feedback?

At the risk of being abused, it makes no differance. The 180B (or at least mine) doesn't flex without the brace. Rebuilding the steering box on the other hand is one of the best things ive had done

IMO it does, may not seem when dry steering but once there are bigger loads on the box it will flex.

Who's a good place to go to for rebuilding the stock box?

A couple of places I spoke to reckoned the steering box ain't the rebuildable type (so it's good to know that wasn't true)
