im sure a brake place could do it or you should be able to make your own up, ill be doing mine when the time comes. i havent looked into yet but im sure it cant be to hard, need a small pipe bender and a flaring tool i guess.

surely others on here have done it.

Brake lines need to be double flared, whatever that means. I cut suitable bends out of old brake lines and got them flared at a local brake shop. Didnt cost much at all.

Double flares, the brake line rolls back into itself to make it thicker.

Quick google search reveals this:http://www.pharmacy.arizona.edu/staff/w ... Flare.html

Although, i don't know if i agree with the chamfering of the line before hand. But it could be the way to do it. I've never done it when i've done my lines.

I've nicked some brake lines off cars at the wreckers in the past (don't look at me like that, it was sunday and everything else was shut).

If you're after a complete hard line it might be a bit tricky, but I've found that for the flexible line, rear brake lines from an micra fit my car perfectly. they were a bit longer too, which was good.

You might be on a tight budget but this is an area you don't skimp on.

Bundy tube for brake lines is around $30 for 6 metres (which should be enough for what you are doing).

Get a good pipe bender off ebay (search, don't buy the cheapest one on there, get one with the 2 handles).

Braided lines can usually be done by local shops and work out alot cheaper. I even found a mobile guy that was cheaper than maddat and datsport, just depends on whether you want to put in the effort.

That's a pretty good point. Still, I figured my wreckers yard brake lines had to be better than my 30 year old factory ones.
