Ok guys bit of a dumb question but should standard 1600 balljoints be mounted on top of the control arm or underneath it? I only ask because when I pulled my old ones off they were mounted under the lca (I have 1600 lca's) But when I looked at a mates car the other nite his were mounted to the top of the lca which he belives is the correct way.A few pics ive seen of other 1600's some are underneath like mine and some are on top anyone know the correct way im getting confused

100% on the top of the LCA mate. On the bottom is asking for trouble IMO.

Yep on the top.

I have seen the workshop manual and they're on the top.
