you 200b owners are a crack up! i don't like them because i don't like them. their styling is crap, inside and out. its an opinion/taste you can't really argue about that. its not a 1600 elitist thing, the 200b is probably my least favourite datsun ever, i like lots of other datsuns!

sorry boys, you own the tn magna of datsuns. supply and demand drive price thats why they are cheap.

pizza?

plus you can't say that in some random rally where a 200b beats a 1600 that makes them a good car. I've gone quicker than a squillion dollar ferrari spider around sandown, if only that meant a 1600 was better than a ferrari!

were you racing in a competitive event?

Also, I've seen 1600's with full 200B dash conversions. So the interiors must be okay for 1600 owners then.

I'm willing to bet that if Alistair and myself didn't own 200B's, you wouldn't have a problem with them.

Plenty of other datsuns came with live axle suspension. And it is still possible to find IRS 200Bs.
Your first point is a pretty good attempt at an association fallacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_fallacy). The number of other datsuns that came with live axle suspension is irrelevant to my point, which aims to address your the original statement:

I've said it many times, no one has been able to justify to my satisfaction what it is about the 200B they don't like.
My point was justification for the dislike of a component of the 200B, given the assumed (though arguable) inferiority of live-axle suspension.

Your second point contradicts your first point. If there is nothing wrong with live axle suspension because `plenty of other datsuns came with [it]', why is it relevant that 200Bs also came with IRS? Wouldn't that make those 200Bs inferior?

Oh, and why the hell are we arguing about ugly datsuns noone cares about in the Pizza thread?

Yeah your right. Im going to get one now because 30years after they were built they placed in the top three in a local rally.

Hey green200b have you driven 99% of the cars you bag. I dont think so.

Id rather be dead than own a 200b. You are not going to convince me to like them with a couple a sh*t little facts (if they really are facts) to like them. They are boring and ugly

Wow, this is like High School - "I'm right because more people agree with me".

That said, I'm up for pizza next week, who else is coming?

yes, it was at a club sprint at sandown, might see if i can sell my car for $450,000 now  . Liking poohundred bee's has nothing to do with knowing you or alistair. you need to get out of your head the 1600 elitist thing, maybe you have a complex. don't get so offended and defensive about someone's (many one's actually) taste.

funny stuff
