People who rent SUCK... although I do like you because you make me money which in turn is gonna pay for me to get a third house :blahblah:
Fortunately my partner and I own two houses already with tenants in them, and renting is just easier because it's closer to where I work. Unfortunately you couldn't afford the house that I am renting in, as it's worth over $800K despite the fact the garage is a shoebox.
(damn I sound like and elitist 1600 owner....) :P 8)

Stuff you all 180Bs rock!!!! :P

Try diss the 180 boys, you very well know its just a 1600 with a better looking body, specially the SSS which in fact was a true SSS with two doors and better engine/box combo, rather than a sedan with a different dash and SSS badges as in the 1600....

I still like all datsuns, thought I'd just add more fuel to the fire since I'm already really bored in these early hours of the day

:giggle:

*edit

Owning a couple of houses is the best thing you can do Nik, if you wanna rent thats up to you, I sure know I could never do it again after all the sh*t I've been thorough with land lords and crap!!!

aaand now it starts to get personal - i thought this thread was about hating 200b's?

180bs are for people who can't quite justify buying a cool cult classic but still want to be part of the team

and 1000 wagon's are undiscovered gems, just you wait in a few years they will be fetching xygtho prices

and back to the 200b hatred :(

I'd add to this thread but I'm still reeling from the TN Magna hate in the first post

Great cars, owned one myself and it was great  . Unless you tried to use O/D on the auto transmission, then it just stopped going forward completely

200B's - if it wasn't for learning to drive in Dad's 200B, I probably wouldn't have a garage full of rusting, non-running old cars now that waste all my spare time and money

200B's vs 910's ? - ones a Datsun, ones a Nissan :giggle:

180B's ? they do indeed rock :woohoo: .

Zed/1600 elitist ? - no such thing. Zed'z and 1600's should never be allowed to share a shed. One is a fantastic, sporty feeling car, the other is a 2-door 240K with an overly long bonnet and pretentions of sportiness. Only "real" Datsun sports car is a fairlady :cheers

Skylines ? - Last good skyline was made by Prince.

200B seats comfortable ? - Maybe. I did fit 200B seats to my old 1600 many years ago. I will admit the velour they are trimmed in repels vomit pretty well. Thought I was in that night, turns out the girl in question didn't want to stop halfway home for a spot of "parking" but rather to throw up. Didn't even accept my offer of coming back to my place for a shower to clean up. Hey, I'd already invested time and money that night, wasn't giving up that easily :giggle:

3 houses ? - imagine all the Datsun's you could fit in three garages  . You wouldn't even need to park any in the front yard. I've reached my quota because I only have two garages. If I had another garage, I could buy my dream Datsun - a 410 :? :hail:

As it happens I think the C110 was, maybe the C210, depends on how I'm feeling.

This thread is awesome.

I'd say the C10 GTR is the best skyline, in both looks and old-school performance. Don't think it's made by Prince though.

I think a lot of the people who like 200B's drove one before they'd even heard about their so-called "reputation". Thus, they liked them based on their experience.

The ones who hate them were into other datsuns first and heard about the 200B before they even saw one, and thus their opinion is based on what other people have told them.

As for the 910.... at least the 200B looks like a datsun...

Yup... Luckily I was the only bidder on ebay :)

And for the record I got no need to join SAU as i wont be modding my skyline one little bid, its perfect just the way it was built, my 1600 is gonna be what i spend my time working on so i can thrash it through the bush and smack trees with it n stuff, just as god intended it.

Good job Riley. You wouldn't want to bend something rare like a 200B, or nice like your R33 (I'll have to check it out next time I'm up your way). Although if your R33 is like any other R33 I have seen, you'll have a bit of fun getting it into the bush near your house in the first place.

I agree with this, my 200B was the first car I drove further than out of my garage (around the front yard when I was 14!) and then on the road on my Ls. I'm sure other Datsuns handle very differently (the only other kind of I've really driven are 1200s) but you can't argue that they are necessarily 'better' because it's just a matter of opinion.

I think the 180B SSS is already a cult classic in its own right. Hands down the best four cylinder datsun.

*Face Palm* Bog stock Auto R33 gts-t, not much fun at all and far from perfect....
boost-cut, speed limiter, hicas steering, and the ugliest body you could design...

i will give 'em Kudos for there manual g/box's though, they are the shizzle and the engines are great if you can get over the fact that it wont rev like a RB20
