Hi there.
Here is my new car. Its going to be my daily drive for work and when im keen to go to the skate park with my bmx or skateboard in the back.

The plan is, to respray over christmas holidays, then hopefully, suspension, wheels, interior and maybe engine hehe (depending on time and money etc.)

Not going to go over board on the engine front. But as for looks, i love my cars to look very tidy and neat.

Any suggestions on colors, rims, ride height etc. would be awesome guys and girls.

Cheers

Andy

Woo another wagon on the forums!
Go some larger old school rims, but i'd be doing the paint first, it looks like there might be a bit of rust there so you could have quite a lot of work to be done there

Look pretty solid from where I'm sittin. Why a respray ? Couldnt you just get away with getting a litre of paint color matched for any repairs or thin spots and give it a good detail. Anyway just my 20 cents worth your car your call either way looks like a great basis for a tidy little wagon.

cheers guys.
yeah its very straight and original. rust is mainly two spots around that chrome lip on the roof, then a bit at the bottom of the door and a bit on the bonnet. every thing else seems ok at the moment.
yeah i would be keen to drop some tidy rims on it. does any one know if 1990 charade rims would fit?

hey mate quite positive charade rims won't fit..not to mention their FWD offset. You need to find some with a PCD of 114.3 (thats the lenght between Stud centres).

i'd be going some 13 or 14 inch rims i'm not sure width maybe 6 inch will fit with the right tyre.

cheers, josh

Howdy all.

Anyone have any idea what colour code my datsun is?

My colour plate doesnt show it in the engine bay. Is it an original datsun colour?

Thanks for any help.

ANDY.

Hi there.
Thought i would post a bit of an update.
I now have the engine running even better than before! The starter motor stopped so now has new brushes in it and starts better than my VT commodore! And have put a new battery in.
I have started giving it a good hard clean! all windows have been polished and all old stickers and marks have been removed (cant stand dirty glass!)
Polished the bonnet up as it had faded.

I was having trouble with the brakes working properly... (mainly due to the fact everything is still original)
Sooo my mate and I have just finished fully rebuilding the two front brakes.
And then we took apart the two back drum brakes to find that the little cyclinder in those were stuffed.
One rusted totallt shut and the other leaking. so i have just bought new ones to put in this weekend!!
Then at last it will be stopping beautifully!
The engine is running great two so soon i cant start on fixing up the small rust spots give them a quick paint and polish the whole thing back to its glorious baby poo color!!

cheers all.
Have a good weekend.

Andy
