Great video, what a driver :) Looks like he is having a blast. Audio doesn't do it justice :) It has the fake sound pumped through the cabin however they have done a pretty decent job.

It definitely looks very balanced in its handling. Doesn't look like it needs much steering input at all to bring it back from a slide. Will be a lot of fun. Looking forward to hearing the review!

Hey All,

It's been a while. Someone might have lost their license in the RS. oops! I did get the RS to the track though, was good fun, not as quick as the datto however a lot safer :)

Anyway, I havent done a lot with the car, the weather in Melbourne has been nothing short of horrific lately and I just couldnt get motivated. Well now that we are heading into summer it's time to start playing again. Will have some updates coming in the next few weeks :)

Hi Trent, Sorry to hear about the license. Was it a police car or stationary flash for cash or just one of the fixed cameras?
Still spending time here and there trying to get the car ready for track work. The rear end is completely out at the moment...
What have you got planned for your beast?

They were hiding behind some trees, black unmarked car @ 10pm Pointing the radar right before (50m) the change from 50 > 70. Not allowed to speed up to a speed sign apparently!

I'm going to so some more work on the electronics, finish the boot lining and a few other small bits and pieces, Nothing major though.

That sucks Trent, spoken to a lawyer yet on the legalities of the position of the radar?

How are you going with the 3d printing? If I had some models done would it be possible to print them?
For a fee of course.

Hey mate,

License is back now, fortunately for me it corresponded with a trip to NY so the impact wasn't that bad :) Plus, I don't drive during the week, I take public transport everywhere. Just annoying.

3D Printer is still running almost every day. I love it :) Sure, what do you need, happy to help.

It' just some small bonnet and door hinges for my mates son's 1/10 rc drift car.

I'd challenge the fine in Court. Vic is different with what you can and can't do to catch speeding motorists, but that's boarderline entrapment and unrealistic to expect that a normal road user wouldn't accelerate to accommodate the change in speed.

Hi Ross,

For a small fine I just couldn't be bothered. I do think the focus is a little twisted though and more dangerous watching the speedo every second. Anyway thats a whole other discussion! :)

Hi All,

it's been a long time since doing anything with the Datsun however i FINALLY have some time and a month off to play around a little.

Few projects I have planned.

* In-Tank fuel pump
* Updated waterspray computer
* Tweak the Radiator Mounts

I have another tank that I'm working on for the upgrade. I have ordered some bits from Speed Technologies and will hopefully get it to a reasonably complete state before Xmas :)

Few pics of what I have done so far. It doesn't look like a lot however I have welded up a few holes in the fuel tank and stripped the think back to bare metal.

Hopefully will have some more progress tomorrow.

Cheers,

Trent
