So what did you have to modify? Just those two staino rods? What's going to be the advantage of the in tank pump? |

Hey Ross, At this point, just those two rods. I still get fuel overheating issues. This will help a lot with keeping the fuel cooler. Plus I only need one pump less weight.....right.... Cheers, Trent |

I've always thought about the in tank pump but have never really thought of its advantages. Hopefully it'll work for you! |

Yeah I hope so as well. I have a grave yard of dead pumps at home. i must have about 6 ~ 7 now. I really hope this fixes the problem. |

Good work Trent - coming along nicely. Couple of benefits of the in tank pump, one pump (no lift and external supply) and because the pump is submerged / immersed in fuel (when the tank has fuel in it) - the fuel acts as a cooler for the pump motor - one of the reasons they say never to run an EFI car always down to the empty mark (aside from picking up the sh*t on the bottom of the tank) |

Thanks guys, All done!! I would have posted some pics earlier, I have been working on the RS. It developed a boost leak. Turns out that when ford fit IC piping that finger tight is sufficient for all hose clamps! FFS! It's brand New!! Anyway Datsun running well. This conversion completely sucked and was quite difficult. Maybe the heat didnt help either I'm still not 100% sure I have the sender OK however will test over the coming days. Was able to remove a LOT from the old fuel setup. YAY! Cheers, Trent
