I'm going to be very interested to see the difference between the Autech version and the standard. Supposedly there isn't much other than upgraded springs and a few other small things.
The 260RS Autech for the C34 was a fire breather!!

UPDATE!!!

Yes She's landed with the quarantine and is being cleaned as we speak, where they remove all traces of Japanese dust/dirt/grime/bugs etc. and fumigate to kill the rest :D
Will be out of there in a day or so and then sent to compliance!

Well car is at the compliance, and I have been told it's going to take 3 weeks to:
Change the cat,
check the bulbs in the lights
modify the child restraint mounts in the back
top up all the fluids
and some other stuff which I have no idea of.
and then they fit a plate saying it's ok to drive on our roads.
and this is going to cost me $2500!
:impatient:
Hopefully they can redeem themselves by making the date come forward a little...

They will probably do the seat belts. Also the side mirrors as most modern Jap mirrors are curved. ADR's require flat mirrors :(

Update.

It's complied and driveable.
Managed to find all the little quirks.
It's got some squirt for a 2.5L V6. I'm quite impressed.
The Vq25 must have variable valve timing or something, as it does have some guts down low.

Update.

Drove the car from Melbs over to S.A.
Got 10L/100km. Not bad for a turbo 5 speed slush box!

Visited Datsport and had a tour by Baz who is looking much better after some illness and some surgery (He's given up the smokes too!)
Tracy has a new PM35 stag which was practically brand spankers. Got a group photo out the front of datsport. Bought a whole bunch of Datsport/datsun merchandise (thanks Tracy!) Got a T-Shirt/Hoodie/stickers/stubbie holder and Datsun key chain. Couldn't go home empty handed. Cam's Datto is looking pretty shmick.. Thanks for the hospitality guys.

Weather was great, locusts were everywhere. Luckily had some of the fly screen stuff on the front of the car to stop the pesky bastards hitting the radiator and intercooler. Car went brilliantly. Very comfortable and has enough squirt to pass all the twits doing 90 in the 110 zones.
Visited the Barrossa and Mclaren Vale and rode our mountain bikes from winery to winery. Was awesome. bought heaps of wine, drank heaps of wine. Visited Birdwood and the museum. There was one Datto in the whole lot. A 240Z.
Good holiday. Too short.

I've been in that car. Goes hard for a non-turbo V6.
