I've had an aftermarket head unit installed in my datsuns for a long time, and with my current wagon, I've managed to place it under the dash, so I've not decimated the dash.

The problem I have, is when I turn off the car, and turn it back on. In doing so it loses its settings and each time I turn the car on I have to adjust my settings again. I'd like to not have to do this, to save those 15 seconds each time (I've also installed various subs and speakers etc which make it annoying when not tuned properly).

I have attached the +ve and the -ve to the battery directly (It was easier at the time) and the accessory wire to the fuse labelled "radio" in the fuse box (200B). I am confident I've attached it to the wrong one, so could anyone please fill me in as to where I should connect my accessory wire so I don't have to reapply my settings every time I turn my car on?

Cheers,

Myaz

maybe tap it into something that has constant power, like your lights or indicators?

I had originally done that to my high beam, but every time I put my high beam on, it would surge power to the head unit and it'd turn off. I'll try it none the less :)
