Well i've made some reference to this car in my build thread and other posts, so thought i'd give it a place of its own! As i share my time between this and my race car. I brought the car as a stock genuine 1 owner. He had a log book of everything that had ever been done to the car, EVERYTHING!!! From replacing points, sparkplugs, oils, gastkets, O rings ect.... all listed and dated with KM reading. Even when i replaced the rear shocks it had the install date on them!!! (10 years old for those playing at home  ) The intension was to bulid this up as my race car but i got a better shell so this has stayed the daily/rainy day car (ride my motorbike most times) I just wanted to tidy it up a bit and pass it onto another datto lover. Turns out my little sister wants to take it off my hands as soon as she sells her sigma ('78 2.6L 5 spd  ) So now the 'tidy up' has become a bit more thorough. The oem carb was starting to leak fuel so i replaced it with a 32/36 webber, K&N, extractors and exhaust with a hotdog and straight through muffler. A saas steering wheel, new rear shocks and super low springs. Parts i have ready to install when i have time are my old diff to replace the 3.7 with 3.9 with 2 centers (1 locked, 1 open) R31 rear disc brakes setup for diff already, coilover kit for the front, 5 speed box (not sure which one yet? i have SSS dogleg, R30 stumpy or bluey) cheap 'race' seats. Also have twin 40mm sidedraft webbers with K&N's and datrally manifold, 72 deg cam. Well that's all i can think of right now so i'll leave it at that. Till next update, cheers Jay

Not long after getting it I put some 15" pepperpots on it for some motorkhana action. Both me and (soon to be owner) little sister had a win  I got 1st outright and she got 1st female and 1st junior.

I'm a dentist so i can't show you my face

OK, so how do i put this nicely??? Some little A$$HOLE thought it would be a good idea to throw a shopping trolly at the Stanza!!! I caught him and the police have charged him but i doubt i'll get any restitution from him

The scratch on the bonnet is from the wheel. It put a good crease in the guard and pushed in from the indicator forward.

On a more positive note its currently rolling on 13" Jellybeans. 6" F and 6.5" R. 185 F and 205 R. I'll only show the rear till the front is sorted with coilovers :D

i wouldnt bother with the cops, shake him upside down till his wallet fell out, drag him back to his parents house by his hair, and have them pay u on the spot. on a plus side that is a sweet stanza man, i love it! u have a very lucky little sister :P

what diff are you running, im attempting a SR conversion into my stanza, got a SR20DET in the shed and once my bike sells ill have the cash to follow through with it, but i dont knoww what diff to use, and i want a disk rear end. so what have you done there?

I popped most of it out and replaced the indicator, but haven't had time to pull the guard off the get the crease out. The diff is just a Borg Warner with 3.89 diff gears, i've got some R31 rear disc set up to put on when i get time. For you i'm not sure how much a H190 can handle? If that's not strong enough maybe a shortened R31 diff. They have a disc brake setup. I'd look for a 28 spline one and put 4.11 gears in it. Or just ring BAZ at datsport, he love's the Stanza's too

Ask the piggies for an address of the little Fu*^er so you can send a letter of the repair bill and go and visit the disrepectful waste of space. :-)

Ok, not much to update as i sold this to a mate on Monday :chaching: Its already been "cam'ed" up with a 45 side draft on its way. I might be able to keep updates as the new owner makes changes. I already miss it :( Cheers Jay
