Beach cruise would be great. The missus would be interested in that too.

It was good fun. It would have been nice if a few other cars had gone the full distance. Although I must admit the drive out to Lake Mountain was dodgey, watcing the younger blokes go nuts was fun. If I were 10 years younger I would have been all over it. I'm just a bit scared of wrecking my daily. Waz's Bluebird has restored my faith in the old 910. What a beast. I tried to film a little bit with my phone but it's a bit dodgey doing 70kph averege speed on dodgey roads as it is without holding onto a camera. Dan would have to be one of the more committed repairers out there. I would have turfed the bar in the boot or over the hill but he insisted on refitting it in the cold and rain.

In summary, Nice work lads, At least there are some Datto boys out there that aren't pussies.

how about great ocean road for the next one? or grand ridge road, though parts of that are unsealed so it would require careful planing to avoid them, but sure beats cruising down the Nepean hwy

I think you lot would of made it up and back in the time it would have taken me to get up to lake mountain  but next time i will be there

Don't be a sheep Wisey, leave it stock! That's what I did with my wagon and it still works!

No, I've just worked out over the years that if you don't **** with a car, they tend not to die.

Speak for yourself!
I think you've just found out if YOU don't F&*K with a car, they tend not to die.... :giggle:

 I'm not going to bother getting into this argument, but looking at the cars that me, and my friends, have owned, the ones that were reliable and lasted longer were the ones that were getting ripped apart or modified every weekend. I still haven't replaced a gasket of any kind, thermostat, clutch or anything in the RX-7, my wagon has had the rocker cover gasket replaced and that's it. And both of them are perfectly reliable.

If you want to do your wagon up Wisey go for it, it would look awesome provided it didn't go Sydney style, but if you want to keep it as a daily, try to remember, if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

 How do you know the previous owner hasn't done all that stuff, and you are just basking in the reliability?
Is your RX-7 putting out 3 times factory horsepower? Seriously Al, stop with the generalizations. I know many people who have modified cars and done so reliably. Stop speaking about your mates, and think about people that might do it right the first time?
