Post subject:  260Z project - work in progress

Hi all,
This project is a joint venture between myself and my best mate, we've started with an early model 260Z and plan to do the following:

1. Find the remainder of parts and panels needed to get the car in one piece
2. Rebuild the standard motor to an L28, possibly stroke to 3.1 litres depending on funds
3. Full respray in a dark grey (similar to R32 gunmetal)
4. Polish the entire engine bay
5. Full interior restoration to near-factory with slight modification (old school style with some new materials!)
6. Upgrade to HID if possible, other small, easy modifications.
7. Lower the car, either king springs and uprated shocks or a set of coilovers
8. Oldschool JDM rims (We are both HUGE oldschool JDM fans!)
9. Get it running on modern unleaded fuels :D
10. Show it off!!

I've attached some photos below of the car as is.
Also, if you have spare headlight surrounds or front bar or anything we might be missing for one of these, that'd be awesome if you're selling =P

Good luck on the build - I think you'll need it...

If I could make some suggestions:
I well built stock stroke, >89mm bore L28 will out perform a L31 stroker 99% of the time.
Unless you are going to spend 12k+ on a L6-stroker build, it's not worth the time & $$$.

Secondly, the L26 (or an L28) will run quite happily on ULP/PULP as is - there is no need to convert it.

New bumpers are availible via Harrington in the UK.
