Roof all bogged up, ended up not too bad rust wise.

Was gonna just paint the roof black but changed my mind, gonna do it all in black this weekend.

Got some Wattyl Black Automotive paint for $0 from work but haven't seen the paint on anything so dunno what it will look like, a black 180B I guess

Should look pretty tough though.

There is also a stuffed headlight to replace and a bit of fuel line as well but that's about all stopping it from going to rego.

So in the end:

Mechanic to get it running: $75

Little update, went over Dickson Pits this morning.

I now have 5 little things (light bulbs x 2, hole in boot, exhaust too low and Horn) to fix and then its all systems go!

Dickson guys were really good with the whole engineered car thing, must have got lucky I guess, but there was a few Datsun Posters up on their wall and more than a couple commented on what a nice conversion it was so def some lurrrve for the Datsun there.

Driving it for the first time has been pretty fun, I'm still getting used to the whole car but, as expected, it pulls like a freakin train.

Dream datsun = cheap, powerful, best wheelbase for handling "winwin"
For sure whitewalls on steelies w/ chrome nuts & chrome outer dress rings,
paint roof white or youll die in summer using "whitecoate" paint looks good
to with the sleeper look (its an amazing roll on product) also would be good
w/ white windscreen sunvisor, bowling hat in rear parcel and lastly your
choice of either oldschool hotrod 4 inch peep or jdm guard mirrors.

Well today was awesome.

Its all passed, transferred into my name and registered.

The B has been my lil bros daily since I got a company car 20 months ago and it lives in Sydney.

Other day he calls me and says that the cops had been by asking to speak with the owner of the Black beast out the front Re a missing person from 1990.

Turns out the vin is the same as the orange B below:
