Looking for a place in Adelaide to convert and tune my stagea c34 s2 rs4 to LPG - sequential is good enough or liquid injection.

not after a performance improvement but minimal loss is more than adequate.

dont want a backyarder taxi installer but someone who can fit it, do a good job and tune it to do be the best it can be.

PM if you need to especially if it is negative feedback, best not to slander workshops.

Thanks

Have a talk to Brett West, son of Graham West of Graham West Workshops.
Brett is an LPG Guru and they have a 4W Dyno in house.

My son had his Stagea tweaked there

I think they have shut but steer clear of ezy gas the are a pack of arseholes. Nearly killed my falcon which i would imagine is the easiest car in the world to convert. If the guy who did mine was still around honeslty i would go and knock his head off his shoulders.

Let me know how it all goes and what it costs. Is yr stag a turbo? Why the gas? Not having a go, just intermarested.

Ezy Gas have gone bust. We got our VX done there. I had to go over all the woring and do up hose clamps etc. Was a bad install but I cleaned it up okay. It only coss us $200 plus the rebate.

its not a sure thing as yet

other options are to go with a nistune and have an economical tune on pump 95 but need to speak to people and gain a bit more knowledge.

yes its turbo

gas because its cheaper - not more economical in 99% of instances but the $/L makes it worth the while.

Stags are thirsty beasts and its likely that because the Mrs wants a new car i'm faced with the delema of replacing the stagea or keep it, and if i sell it what can i get which is in the same ball park of $$$, features, performance, room etc...

because i have found no real comparison at this stage i'm trying to get the $$ per KM lower to justify keeping the the staega for my daily work duties

At the moment stagea gets 350km from 68L tank @ $1.38 P L (98) and i will in just getting too and from work travel about 25,000km per year

Gas also has a higher octane (101) but that is of no interest to me - just want to make it cheaper to own - finding it very hard.

Mrs drives it 5kms to and from work at the moment and i drive a 1.5 laser which costs $40 per week driving like a tool and with aircon on. the laser will be leaving us to make room for the new car which is likely to be a 1.5L Auto 4 door swift.

thats basically the full story in a nut shell - its a tuff call

You should have a talk to Parnell. The Prinz system from Holland is set up for vapour sequential injection with a boost reference for turbo's and is by far one of the best vapour kits available. I used to fit their stuff and I got them to do my brothers ute. He's a super fussy RAAF'ie and he was pleased as with the job they did. Vernon is the guy to speak to from Melbournes Laverton branch, but Adelaide Parnell is the main office, I can't reccommend them highly enough. Smithy's LPG in Bayswater on the other hand, I just want to bash those pricks at the moment.

gas is starting to sound a bit risky for a turbo unless you are almost brothers with the installer

GasResearch is probably what Brett West will suggest, a brilliant system

I've just had gas research fitted to my car. It's a fantastic product as long as someone who knows their stuff does the job. The website will recommend authorized installers but again, thats how I came across smithys and right now I'm waiting for my car very patiently while they fix the stuff I'm not happy with. But I'm happy with the product. Just not the installer.

the easier option than converting the stagea to gas was to sell the damn thing

picked up a near new mazda sp25 with luxury pack, does 7's on the freeway and 8's in town and runs on standard ulp compares to 11's and 14's on premium 98.

doesn't have the balls of the stagea but it certainly handles well

it all got too hard or expensive...
