Looks great mate loved your old white one so this one should be awesome as well once finished.
Thanks mate. Just chipping away at the engine bay at the moment, hopefully it turns out as good as the white one did.

Got a fair bit done to it today, hopefully it will be ready to start some filler work next weekend. I cant wait to see the back of the angle grinder, so many seam welds to smooth out.

Had today off work today so i fitted braces to the A piller's, also finished off all the seam welds and filled the last of the holes. Just a general tidy up with the wire wheel and panelbeat some minor imperfections and then finally i can start the filler work. Its hard to believe that ive spent over 40 hours to get the bay to were it is today.

Just a minor update, found a small piece of rust in the front chassis rail. Had a good look down both the rails and that was the only spot thank god. So fixed that up now im finally finished all the metal work. Started on the filler work this afternoon.

Hey guys finaly have an update.
So ive been busy over the last few months, ive spent nearly every sunday sitting in the bay of this thing. I went kinda crazy on this one, smoothed every seam there is.
Ive never sprayed 2 pack before, so i was nervous about doing it myself and stufing 8 months of hard work, so i sent the car to a local panel shop to get done properly. I got the car home just before christmas and have been working flat out on it over the past few days. I should have the car off the trolley and all suspension back in this week.
I stripped the L18 down wile the car was away, so the engine build should start happening soon to.
Anyway pics tell a better story.

A big thanks to Matt (MY110) for all your hard work.

Coming up very nice! Keep up the good work.

What are the plans for the L18? Big ported head, huge cam, heaps of comp and twin carbs?

Thanks guys.
Plans for the l18 are standard bottom end and go nuts on the head, just a single 45 weber for now, then when i get it on the road and get bored with the power il build a 2.4 bottom end and chuck the head straight onto that, with an extra weber of course.

I got stuck into it today and got my dash frame/pedal box/column and steering box all painted up and fitted. Just waiting on all my front end bushes/ ball joints/ tie rod ends etc to turn up so i can get it on wheels again.

the bay looks fantastic, the good thing about the L series is that there isn't too much wiring and other junk to clutter up all that nice paint.

Yeah the plan is to only put in the bay what has to be there. Not going to have things like washer bottle/horns etc and hide all the wiring and brake lines.
