Hi Folks,

Was just looking at these brakes fitted to a 1600 but don't know what they are from. I will get a pic with the wheel off if no one can ID.

Can anyone identify them?
Are they any good?

Cheers,

take measurements of the rotor, go to your local brake shop and they should be able to tell you what model they are off.

thickness, diameter, pcd, height of hub face etc

Pull the pads and see what part number they are. Cross refference with a brake pad book and you will find out what calipers you have. As to are they any good. They are way bigger than stock Datsun brakes so will be heaps better than stock. What car, engine, car use etc will determine if they will suit you or not.

The master cylinder looks to be from a 200B. Haven't seen those calipers before though.

The master could also be a 120Y Master

The calipers look like the single pot sliding versions that come on a variety of commonwhores. Those particular ones look like VS to me.

VL turbo calipers are the same except they have the libbed sections for your pleasure.

Hang on is that a solid rotor? That would negate what I just said.

Yeah... very tight. I'll pull the wheel off over the next few days and get a better view of whats lurking in there.
