Well, been trying to put some hours into this. I jumped to the back of the car to finish the fuel setup.
It's bit of a mess really, but it's functional (I hope  ) and necessary because the fuel tank is unmodified, so fuel surge at anything less than about half tank is a worry for EFI.

I was going to trigger the whole lot on and off with the ECU, but getting the one trigger wire from one end of the car to the other is just a bit painful, so I'll run an oil pressure switch at the engine block to turn off the fuel pumps via a relay close to the power feed line coming directly off the alternator.

I included some toggle switches to turn on/off each of the pumps independantly, if necessary (I can fill the swirl pot before I turn on the EFI pump, for example).

Back to the engine bay tomorrow. :)

Got up this am with the idea of running a fuel guage in the fuel system. I wish all threads were the same, its a pain when you gotta trek to 3 or 4 different shops to get the stuff you need. That's just part of the experience!

Guage is in. The adjustable regulator may need adjusting to set the pressure, without the guage, I'd have no idea.

Turned the ignition on and filled the swirl pot with the EFI pump off. Got 10 psi on the guage and a small fuel leak at the distribution block. With some artery forceps to clamp the hoses to avoid major fuel spill, I took off the barb and retaped it and whacked it back in...tightly. No leaks at low pressure. Next is to turn on the EFI pump and see what happens.

Did a heap of wiring and I'm very close, closer than the piccy suggests. A very very basic setp atm, no O2, fast idle or ignition control, I want to see how the injection will work and then step up to more complete control later on.

:D

Did some more stuff last night and found a few things weren't quite right. Turned the efi pump on and got another leak at the block so I did the same thing again to this fuel line and fittings. Sorted. The pressure on the guage was over 70 psi!!!. I adjusted the grub screw on the Malpassi and dropped it back to 35! (system pressure tested to 70 psi: good, no leaks!)

I also noticed that the ign key wasn't turning on/off the EFI pump. Checked the wiring at the relay only to find power was feeding 87 and not 30. So the EFI pump was being fed power all the time and was only being switched by the toggle switch in the boot. A quick rewire sorted that out fairly easily. Now, the efi pump can't be switched on by itself, the low pressure pump needs to be switched on first before they'll both work.

Plugged the laptop in and checked and calibrated a few things like the throttle position sensor and air and coolant signals. Also did some tweaks here and there, to hopefully, get everything close enough to be able to start the mutha.

Another coffee and back in the shed I go!

It starts and runs (sorta! ) http://s662.beta.photobucket.com/user/n ... Dec%202012

A LOT of details still need to be sorted but overall I'm happy with it. It's nice to have something other than a carb sitting under the bonnet. I don't really expect huge power increases but I'm hoping that with time, I'll be able to get it tuned so it drives nicely.

Have a great 2013 everyone! :woohoo:

Lovely Gloria, I saw it too at JNC site. Those head lights are crazy, I found at the local Nissan Dealer those chrome bezels, brand new, but couldn't find the head lights.

I think so!, I´ll ask at the Nissan dealer the next week, right now I´m outside the city. I have at home one side only but I think I could find the other one. I´ll compare it with the 72 and the 73 grills so we can know what year belongs to.

THis is the one I have at home. What do you think? 1973 260C maybe?
