I have a 1600 with standard brakes and single circuit master.
And I have a really hard pedal (pressure build up) and the brakes are dragging(sticking on slightly) Im pretty sure it's all 4 wheels but definately the fronts.

I rebuilt the the front calipers and rear brakes

All signs point to the master cylinder which is NLA
I have taken it out and cleaned it all out with brake cleaner and the piston moves freely
but I'm unable to dismantle it, it's different to the one that can be dismantled in the workshop manual.

So does any one have any ideas before I bite the bullet and upgrade the master

What dual circuit master will bolt on into a 1600 without using a booster??

A 180B master will bolt straight on with or with out the 180B booster. You will of course need to get some new brake lines made up to suit. If you can't do it your self best to get a brake joint to do it for you.

You can buy replacement master cylinders for Datsuns at any major brake repair specialist.
If you want to go for dual circuits and you cant fabricate new brake lines with double flaired ends, take you car to a brake specialist, or get them to make up the lines for you. Don't try to repair your brakes on the cheap, do it all properly and all at the same time.
