Hi all, im after some thoughts on rotor offset.
From a static point of view the limiting factor of how far towards the centre of the car the rotor can sit is the lower control arm.
Depending on the design of the calliper mounting bracket the castor rods also come into play at full lock.
Is there a dynamic reason why the rotor/calliper should be closer to the hub?
I cant think of any.
My current setup has an offset of 53.5 from the hub and i cant say ive had any issues.
Im looking into a new setup and food for thought

The further out they are the closer the calipers come to hitting the inside face of some wheels.
It makes sense to position them inboard as much as possible IMO...
