Hi, i have heard that the laws on light vehicle modification are changing
- i read on here that they are being implemented at the end of september? is this just for VIC?
-I phoned my local guy who does the mod plates in town and he said yes there are new laws but doesnt know when they are coming into QLD

Does anyone have a rough timeline for its implementation?

VSB14 is a federally based law. It will be enforced on all states end of September. There is a thread already on this.

As far as I'm aware they are already in place. It is also a country wide thing not state by state form my understanding.
I could be wrong through. Call a VASS engineer and discuss.

No offence taken mate, I saw your thread just after I clicked to post. Best bet is to call up an engineer. I think they're just tightening up the laws over all the states. My aim is to have my car finished by end of September just to be on the safe side.

**** leave us alone already.
There are more important things the government should be working on instead of picking on a minority group with a hobby that doesn't hurt anyone and creates countless jobs.

**** the government.

second that notion!
wish they would put as much effort into driver education and vehicle roadworthys, now that would be a productive use of their time.

its shithouse. now i heard someone saying that if you get a mod plate on a car and if the car hasn't been registered with that mod before the implementation date then it has to be plated under the new laws. I think this is false as once its plated they cant do sh*t
