I've searched the previous posts on the forum and haven't found anything to answer my question, so here goes.... I've got a pair of front struts from a R31 non-turbo skyline and am looking for a suitable brakes. My project car originally had 200B struts and brakes. I've got a set of Z32 four pot calipers and have dismantled the R31 strut. I'm aware of the caliper spacing (90mm strut and 100mm caliper), and intend making an adapter bracket. I've taken the spring perch off the strut and am replacing it with a custom one to fit adjustable platforms. I was intending to use the 200B hub and find a larger rotor of the correct width. I've found that the R31 stub axle is larger than the inner wheel bearing of the 200B hub (the R31 had a one piece rotor and hub, and rotors were too small). I'm wondering if anybody knows of a suitable hub and rotor setup that will fit on the R31 strut, I don't care whether it's 5 or 4 stud. Maybe R32, Z31, S13, S12?? Cheers, Craig. |

thats odd, i've got a 200b hub in the shed and it fits on my hr31 struts no worries. are you sure you have pressed it on hard enough? |

I beleive HR31 and oz R31 have different hubs. Not too sure. I've heard that Hr31 hub is easier to fit R/Z32 rotors onto (as well as the strut having 100mm caliper mounts) Someone might wanna confirm this... |

I could be wrong but I thaught the only difference was bigger calipers and of course the electronicly controlled hydrolic suspension? I dont think the hub is differant. |

Yes the hub is significantly different. The HR31 hub is like s13 where as the aussie R31 is like old datto hub style. However as best as I have tested, you should be able to fit the 200b hubs on the r31 strut using the 200b bearings. |

Zac510, Have you tried a Z31 hub onto the HR31 strut? Does it fit? |

4 spot nissan calipers bolt straight onto HR31 struts, R31 aus delivered struts require a caliper bracket (dog bone form that Baz sells) to bolt the caliper on. |

Main prob with the HR31 strut is that the caliper mounts further out than the Oz31 with dogbone mount. Wheel options are limited as most will rub on the caliper. |

The dogbones with with mounting & caliper bolts are $185 per set.Hubs with longer studs new bearings & seals, rotor bolts $135 pair. new SnS plated 280mm rotors machined to fit hubs. $440 pair. |

This is an Oz R31 strut fitted to HR31. Note caliper position is close to strut. The rotor is mounted behind the hub The standard HR31 wheel will fit perfectly. You cannot fit the std rims using the HR strut with 4 spots
