what brakes are best yet will still fit on a 1979 sunny ?

rear brakes? you should be able to fit R31 skyline rear disc brakes im pretty sure

Sunny is one of the few that run 100mm wide springs. The easiest solution is to fit Stanza struts as an upgrade like you would to a 1200 or 120Y. On the late stanza struts you can fit the 200B style girlock brakes or 240K sumitimo's. Alternatively a set or 200B struts are better as they are 30mm shorter and if you want to lower it you will have better shock travel. Coverted 200B struts to coil overs would be the best way to go.
