G'day guys,

I know this is probably a silly question but just want to be sure.

I have just picked up a set of front disc strut assembly from a 1200 coupe to put onto my 1200 ute. Just wanted to know which direction the caliper goes? Toward the front of the car or the rear?

Cheers, Joe

1200.com might have some info.

It all depends on whether the calliper clears the steering arm when set to the rear, or not.
The front/rear orientation of the calliper is inconsequential as far as function is concerned, it will work just as well either way.
Do a trial fit, you'll soon see any clearance issues.

Calipers to the front from memory, to clear the steering arms. You will soon find out when you go to bolt them on.

I have them fitted up facing the front no problems. Just didn't check to see if they fitted the other way. I doubt they would fit both ways.
