yep awesome day, good to catch up with the usual suspects and have a chat to some owners of different marquees. Can't wait for the next one, the sun had some bite!

thanks to silverra23 and the Toyota club for organising the event and all their hard work on and before the day :cheers Just read on Toymods that you guys filled in some of the potholes in the carpark yesterday, top effort guys

Hey Anth, you were at the lights leaving as I was arriving.
Unfortunately there was only 15 - 20 cars left when I got there.
Looked like I missed a good day though.
Already looking forward to next year. Maybe I'll have a car to take by then!!

To all the ozdat guys who came to the event, thank you. You have some fantastic cars and we really appreciated you adding to the colour and variety of the event.

Who would have thought we would be getting sunburnt today after yesterday's weather.

Big thanks to Toyota, Shannons and Chroma Canvas for supporting the event, and even bigger thanks to the club members who spent their time BBQ'ing, selling raffle tickets, directing traffic etc etc.

We couldn't have hoped for a better show for a first up effort, so we are stoked.

I tried to get around and take a photo of every car. I think I succeeded, but if I missed you many humble apologies.

Here are a few of my favourites

Cosmo - Awesome!
[ img ]

Loved this Mazda SS - great shape and so clean!
[ img ]

The orange Datsun 1600 was just amazing. So bright, so clean, and not a twin cam turbo engine in sight!
[ img ]

Mmmm carbs
[ img ]

Supercharged Mighty Boy! So glad these two came.. they made my day!
[ img ]

I am with gmonkey.. this was a sweet first gen Civic
[ img ]

This is cool as, makes me want to follow through on my early Hilux ideas....
[ img ]

Ken from Queensland... yes Queensland... drove all the way for our show. How cool is that?
[ img ]

I love a good wagon! And this is a GOOD wagon!
[ img ]

I love this one too.. just cos its mine!
[ img ]

Sooo many Isuzus to choose from, their support was awesome. I love the Wasp!
[ img ]

These guys trailered this down from Ballarat. How cool is it?!
[ img ]

Great to have some Prince's in attendance too
[ img ]

Mmmmm Zed goodness
[ img ]

More Honda awesomeness
[ img ]

One of the wilder cars on show.. and he won the Chroma Canvas raffle!
[ img ]

Honda Life, yes please. And the Suzuki guys thought they would have smallest engines on the day. No such luck!
[ img ]

Love Justin's Crown
[ img ]

Publica Ute
[ img ]

Toyota Century. The fold down passenger seat was cool
[ img ]

I could keep going and going but I won't. All the rest are here!

If you want to see more photos of the day gripshiftslide.com - Australian Motorsport Car Culture have got some great shots on their facebook page, and Chroma Canvas - Premium Racing Artwork will also be putting their shots up in the next day or two.

Is the owner of NISMO4 on ozdat? wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about it, looks like he was running a whiteline strut brace which I never knew you could fit with an FJ. Also the wheel/tyre/height combo looked tough as

Hi guys,

Enjoyed the day. Weather was fantastic.

As for my wheels, they are 15 x 8 (+15 Offset). My car was not a show quality car, but I thought I'd bring it down and introduce myself to the Datsun community..........met some awesome people with a heap of Datsun knowledge.

I couple of pics below to show off my wheels

I was planning on attending but accidentally drank a little too much the night before. I also told my alarm where to go and went back to sleep. Looks like it was a great turnout though.
