No Alex, I didn't mean to use a 240K tacho, I meant that you may be able to take the guts out of your original square-faced, working tacho and swap 'em into your early round-faced tacho. Zero dollar fix.
As for the clock, well, Datsun dash clocks usually only show the correct time twice a day....

Something else just occurred to me from my memories of 10 years selling car parts- new ball joints and tie rod ends should come with the correct amount of grease in 'em. You shouldn't have to pump any more into them. If they need greasing there will be instructions with them to tell you so. If in doubt, call Bursons to confirm.

Cheers!

i found that with my 1600 factory tacho, it now has the guts out of a square face 180b tacho.

I'll see if I can give that a go, I still have the original gauge cluster that came with the car and has the sss tacho, I'll open them both up and see what I can come up with.

Also got some more goodies in the mail, my JDM fender mirors rocked up together with the rear quater jdm blinkers and front bumper light orange lenses.

Hehehe bit of a secret but I do a hell of a lot of searching....

Hezath - They were just dome universal ones off ebay, but unfortunately they wont work because of the angle they're in, the mirrors point down way too much.

Anyways here are some pics I took on the weekend to keep you guys interested :)

Jaime, they're 15x9 -+0 offset with 195/60-15 and the rears are 15x9 -10 but have different tyres from one side to the other, the left one is a 60 series like the front but the right one is a 65! Thats how I got them and the guy I bought them of just had them on his project car so that he could be a roller, so i'm guessing he didn't care about tyres and just wacked on whatever was available from the local tyre shop, I'm guessing they're used?

I wouldn't mind changing the front tyres for some 55series so that they don't clip the front wheel arches and fit the same on the rear but 205 wide, they have way too much stretch for my liking and I think the tall profile make them look even uglier. Will have to definitely roll all of the wheel arches and give them a bit of a pull, Oh and I also need rear shocks because i drove it as is and the car squats way too much causing it to hit the bump stops, I also need to get around to fitting the front end steering joints because when you hit a certain speed the front left strut starts to shake! I think the original ball joints are rooted to the freaking MAX!

Unfortunitely I wont be able to make it to the classic Japan show on the 20th, haven't had the time to work on the car, it needs way too much stuff to be done if I was to make it, including a RWC...

Btw thanks for the comments :)

Alex

Alex.

Indeed nice look. I do like more rubber on the wheels. Looks more sporty, like real road race cars. Formula one and autocross tires have substance.

I like how it looks. 55 profile would look good too. Want to see it once the front gets lowered.

:cheers
