Check out adelaide fast blast man, they would only do the engine bay underneath and door jams tho (for good reason imo)

just so hard to get all the paint out of everywhere and reseal everything! always end up with sand in the final paint work, and paint stripping the outside isnt very hard anyway, also prone to warping the panel ect ect,

im getting my whole shell done, but ill strip all the panels, soda blasting wont harm the metal, you can do it will all the chrome trim, windows etc all in its that gentle

before getting soda blasting done, i'd definatly recommend researching paint adhesion "the gel coat" sales point so it doesnt flash rust, also makes it very hard to get paint to stick, etch primer has an acid in it which etches to bare metal, it doesnt etch into "gel" whatever this gel might be. I work at a restoration shop "extensive restorations" and all cars that need to be blasted are sand blasted or glass bead blasted and PPG the paint company i used at my last shop wont give you the time of day if you tell them that you had the car soda blasted prior to painting, not trying to be the fun ruiner but seriously do alot more research, and if you do get it done, wash it with warm soapy water very thoroughly before sanding or doing any prep work to the car this will help, i wouldnt recomend this at all! good luck with whatever you deside!

That's funny my mate owns a crash shop down my way they have done many ground up big dollar restos camaros, monaros, toranas, vintage cars etc etc. non have ever had a problem all show cars 20k plus paint jobs. All soda blasted never sand blasted. Guess its just the preferance of the shop doing the work

I have also heard (but am no expert and have not seen first hand evidence) that soda blasting can cause issues with paint adhesion, sand blasting place i got my blaster from sold me stuff called garnet he seemed to think that was ok for the car but then i was a little bit suspicious he wasn't all that switched on to auto applications.

Hey mate,

I have had a mix of soda and garnet on my car done, no issues so far and the panel shop who only do restorations recommended it.

1. Garnet around all the structural areas
2. soda on the more delicate areas

Only challenge is time in cleaning after the process. The panel shop I used spent quite a bit of time on the prep before etch primer to make sure it was 100% clean and dust free from the blasting process.
