Thanks. The Datto will be rolling on S14 wheels soon. I am deciding on what size tyre to put on. 205 40 R16 or 195 45 R16. Problem I am facing now is that I am doing a few different mods at the same time so the car looks incomplete. Which frustrates me a bit. I really want to get it back out on the road ASAP! I'll concentrate on the front end repairs and that will be all this year. Need to enjoy the Datto rather then look at it in my garage.

Thanks guys. I will take some more pics when the progress shows some significant changes. Lack of time in the day and kids keep me busy. As with the Simmons, I sold them to Rexy510. Can not remember the dish size on the rear. Wasn't huge though. Maybe 25mm ? I see in your avatar you have FR17 in gold too.

Hi peeps! Found some spare time this morning to duck out to the garage and do some work on the Datsun. So I was able to weld in the last repair panel and fit the new cooler I had sitting around for a while. I am pretty happy with the result. Especially after comparing it to what it was like before. Now I need to match the paint up and then I can fit off the lights and get the beast back on the road. Cheers

Nice one Richard, have you lipped the inner edge of the rad support?

Cheers,

Trent

G'day Trent. The car is coming along well. With the radiator support, I had to trim a little off the inner lip around the corners. That was about it. Other than that it was fairly easy to do. I honestly thought it would have been allot of stuffing around. Hopefully I have the car ready for the next Ozdat cruise.

True Anth. Having read through your build you too have spent a few hours in the garage with the Datto! Well I was able to give the Datsun some attention this long weekend. I have started to install all my purchases over the last few months. I am going to try and fit the N13 Pulsar radiator whilst maintaining the water pump. Might be tight. I did trial fit the radiator in situ and it does foul with the water pump. Anyway I have added more pics of the progress.

Update on the radiator install. All went well and the N13 Pulsar radiator sits neatly between the engine and the intercooler. Have adequate clearance between the water pump and radiator. I have attached pics below. Now to plumb up the cooler to the turbo and intake.

Thanks turb012. Took the beast out to blow out the cob webs. Took a quick pic of it in the car park. Ill drop into the panel shop this afternoon and book the Datsun in to have the front valance, rear view mirrors and few other external bits and pieces painted professionally. And a good cut and polish to make it sparkle!
