Had a few days off work for a change so i have been flat out on the car.

Accelerator pedal mounted
[ img ]

Stock v8 cable fits nicely
[ img ]

Finished off the shifter. Made a bracket to hang off some of the gearbox bolts
[ img ]

Engine out
[ img ]

Extended pickup. Its pretty rugged but thats all the pipe i could find lying around
[ img ]

The sump is pretty small. Its the biggest i could make it. 5mm off the steering, crossmember, suspension etc. I didnt want the bottom of the sump to stick out below the crossmember
[ img ]

[ img ]

It looks like somebody has already had a go at the pickup at some stage in Japan, the drilled holes dont look original
[ img ]

Dipstick. Only place it would fit...

VS V8 radiator from ebay. Hard to believe somebody in china could make this, send it to Vic, then to Qld, AND make money for $109
[ img ]

Tomorrow radiator mounts maybe

had a big last few days on the car finishing sump (i forgot the drain plug!), and most of the transmission tunnel. wont be finished soon as i have run out of gas and nothing is open in mackay.

need to find a good place to get bundy tube from. the stuff to make fual and brake lines from. anybody know where i can get some from?

photos tomorrow

nearly finished the tunnel but have run out of gas.
[ img ]

just needs a bit of hammer work to tidy it up and weld the rear part on.

filled the holes in the oil pickup as i want to only suck oil from the very bottom of the sump due to the small capacity

no other photos at this stage.

Loving this build. Said it before, but one thing I will give you nz guys is that you aren't afraid of actually modifying stuff by yourself without crying every time something doesn't fit and hoping someone has a solution off the shelf.

With the bundy tube, any brake shop can usually supply it in lengths. I bought a 5/16's roll for my old mans car in 6 metres I think it was for $32.

Motorsport connections will have anything you need, but also charge normal retail for it.

When I look at this "Ironman" comes to mind
It's a big tunnel, yes? What seats will it take in there?
Lovely work, as usual, maaaaate!
