will i need a coil clamp to get the rear springs out of my 1600?

Nope.

Take bottom mounting bolt out of shock absorber, slip shock off the bottom mounting point on the trailing arm and let it dangle loose.

Disconnect outer end of driveshaft and let it dangle loose.

Push down on trailing arm.

You should get enough clearance for the spring to come out.

sometimes undoing the bump stop can help too
