I actually think around $200 is pretty well priced.

VQ-510 is ABS more flexible then fibreglass? Or less likely to leave dangerous broken bits if it was damaged during a accident? As I have heard people say you are not legally allowed to use fibreglass for dashes(roadworthy of course) unless it is covered in padding or maybe fabric incase of accident.

ABS is more flexible and wont splinter like fibreglass does, so it will be safer. Also note that most plastic interior parts for cars are injection moulded ABS.

I don't know of the legalities on fibreglass for dashes, you'd have to look into that further.

VQ-510 Thanks for the info. Dont undercut yourself on sale price, as much as you want to help the Datsun community. There are alot of tight asses who own Datsuns. And Id say there is a fair amount of work involved in getting them to production. The SSS dash that is..

Hi RX510, There is a fair amount of work involved, and it will be taken into consideration on final price.
Good to hear that someone understands that there is more to it than just selling the part!

LOL. so true.

just so people know (keeping within the centre console thread), there's an excellent section in the May Street Machine issue about building your own centre console. time consuming, but not rocket science.

Hi Butch510,

As the design progresses, the 2 5/8" gauges won't fit. I don't have the real estate to make them work. I can however make the 2 1/16" gauges fit.

Hi All,

Firstly I've nearly completed the design, the project got shelved for a few weeks as something else took priority.

stay tuned for a couple of pics shortly.

Hi Richard,

I have had another look at the larger 2 5/8 gauges and they could possibly fit, but only on a flat plate. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
