Hi guys I thought that I would make a thread up for my 1200 ute.
Its not going to be a massive project compared to some of the builds on here but this is my first ever attemp at car mechanics.
I brought the ute thinking that it would be in better condition than what it was and to use it as daily transport but it looks like its going to need some work before it gets to that stage.
It has had some work done to it in the past, it has after market rear struts, its also been lowered, The engine has had the usual work done to it like a sports cam, oval ported head, webber carb, extractors and a full exaust system.
This is what I plan on doing to the ute.
New interior.
Rust repairs.
Replace front & rear fenders and bonnet.
Recondition rims.
fender mirrors.
New door screen rubbers.
New paint job.
Complete service.
Its a bit of a pain because its 3 different colours white black and blue, so taking it back to bare metal has been a chore in its self.
But I plan on doing all of the work myself sofar in having fun learning how to spraypaint and welding will be next.
Anyways heres some pics.
