Hi,

The fuel and temp guages are not functioning in my 79 stanza gx (the needles sit on zero), just wondering if anyone can give me some advise. Everything else on the dash seems to be working properly.

Cheers

These two gauges are powered by a Voltage Regulator usually mounted in the dash area.
The VR pulses the supply to the gauges and it usually is an 8V average voltage.
My guess is that the VR is KAPUT!
I have the Stanza/A10 Factory Service Manual if you want any detail.

the "circuit board" is fairly flimsy on these, i suggest pulling the cluster out and inspecting the back, i personally have a cluster that has a tear in the "circuit board"

It is more of a large / wide ribbon cable than a circuit board

Thanks guys, I've never had much to do with wiring but it might be time to have a go.
