paint stripper works very slowly but only takes thin layers at a time. (May take a while if some cowboy did the original work). I feel for you with the neighbours especially this early in your body rebuild. I had to go through the same sh*t and its not like my parents live on a small modern block.

Try hitting the inside of the panel, to try and jolt the bog so it comes off in slabs... If you have enough room for a hammer or large drift punch, that is! :-)

sand it by hand with a rough grit and lots of water to keep the dust down?? wont be anywhere near as fast though.

Whilst this ^^^^^^^ does work, it can also warp your panels beyond being able to be ever used again if you aren't extremely careful. Only really usefull on big, thick chunks of bog. Use stripper on thin patches.

Did I mention you should be very careful ?

I also have no idea what health effects burning bog may have.

This is how I clean my bog-mixing bits of sheetmetal. Never tried it on a panel.

I got one of those portable Carports from supercheap.
I paid $250 for it but I think on sale they are around $150ish.
You can zip up the front.

Would work a treat keeping dust in.

Only thing was mine lasted about 6 months as they arent supposed to be left up
For too long

:D

yeah had cheapish marquee type thing, if you get the cheaper ones the weight of water on them tends to brake things

I was thinking of setting one of those up a temp spray booth.

On topic i think you could easily set up a vacuum cleaner for some type of extraction system. I have been sanding Bog in my body corporate for a while now and no one has said a thing. Its odd because there all aresholes.

Heat gun and scraper works. its very slow and smelly though. But it gets hard in the rusty bits to get out.

Depends on where it is and what damage is underneath. On a rear quater with heaps of bog I just cut the whole lot out and start with fresh metal. Less mess, quicker and a far better end result. :) Same for sills and stuff like that. For a door beat the other side until the bog cracks and chip it of with a scrapper.
