Yeah I did, it tests ok, as that's what hotwiring the gauge tests.

If regulator was shot then it wouldn't have budged from my understanding

Cars starts and runs. I didn't read not to put the ground wire back onto the dizzy base. This stuffs the signal.

You just tape them up and disregard them.

Well after ideling and driving for bout 20 mins there is an arcing noise from coil then ignition breaks down.
coil isn't hot to touch.

Is it coil issue or dizzy feeding back or wiring?

Well its a dodge coil. Was arcing out the side to the metal frame of the coil.
Not real impressed if this is new quality control.

I found my spare coils. The only one I think is suitable is,part number 9220061464.

does any one have the part numbers for stock blue bird coils?
Some internet site said hec715 is,replacement coil for thus, part number.

Well 20min idle no arcing and didnt get hot so must be ok I guess.

just keep driving a bit more each time and see if anything changes , if it dont get hot and continues to run ok , dont touch it.
Tried cranking mine this morn and had to swap to a spare dizzy to get the bugger to start , hadnt touched it or used car for weeks and it just decided to be retired or retarded (not sure which) straight swap and bang first go . Old ignition systems suck

For anyone else that needs this info. The tach wire. "The one on the lhs of the tach on the back of the sss dash. With "white" written on the board" goes to the neg on the coil.
